THE COMPANIONS

SELECTED PRAYERS FROM MARCH 2025 INTERCESSION PAPER

SIMPLICITY OF LIFE: MONDAY

May you greet each day as a new adventure, not dwelling on the pains of the past or the anxiety of the future.
May you take good care of yourself, so as to be ready to take good care of others.

May you use your God given gifts to care for God’s creation, consuming only what you need and leaving enough for others to also
live well and prosper.

May you always have a home where you can offer hospitality of food and shelter to travelers along the Way.
And may you embrace the simple gifts of God: the wind at your back, the warm sunshine on your face, and the love of Companions
surrounding you.

UNITY OF ALL GOD’S PEOPLE: TUESDAY

Lord, you created us out of ashes and stardust. Help us to see one another and all the world as your extraordinary creations, connected
through your divine Love.

Leni Windle, Discerner

SOCIAL JUSTICE: WEDNESDAY

Dear Jesus, I am so afraid. The nation and the world seem to be exploding with hate towards my friends: immigrants, persons of color,
persons of different sexual orientations, indigenous people. Then we have the book banning and the attempt to take federal funds from
schools and other non-profits. Please help me to be calmer and to do whatever I can to fight these oppressions. I may not be able to do
anything outside of my community, but help me to have the courage to do whatever I can in your name. I ask all of this in your name
as I try to wait and listen to your voice.

Becky Alden, SCHC

PEACE & RECONCILIATION: THURSDAY

Dear Lord of generous love, teach our hearts, instruct our minds, that we may listen openly to those who differ from us. Help us to
respond with loving courtesy and charity, speaking from our hearts to theirs to find common ground.

Barbara Deller, SCHC

GROWTH IN SPIRITUAL LIFE: FRIDAY

Almighty God, Heavenly Father, I humbly come before you today, seeking your guidance and strength to deepen my relationship with
you. Open my heart to your word, illuminate my mind with understanding, and empower me to live a life that reflects your love and
grace. Help me to grow in faith, compassion, and wisdom, and to be a beacon of light in the world. In Jesus’ name.

Sharon Morrison, SCHC

PRAYERS PERSONAL AND GENERAL: SATURDAY

O God of love, hear our prayer for all who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. In the days of changing memory, be with them in their
fears. In the days when memory is gone, bless their families who suffer. Surround them with tender love from family, friend, and
stranger. Grant them peace in their hearts, a secure home environment, and dignity in their lives. May each day bring a blessing, hope,
and greater love.
