``We look forward to opening our doors in June and welcoming you soon!``

Here we are at the beginning of March. This winter’s extreme weather has left many of us more than ready for spring and summer. The good news is that Adelynrood, the Companions’ retreat and conference center in northeastern Massachusetts, is reopening for its summer season! Like most of the world, we were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and forced to close for the past two summers.

From June through October, you can visit Adelynrood and participate in spiritual programs led by some of today’s leading thinkers about following Jesus and becoming who God wants you to be.

One of Adelynrood’s major offerings is the Companions’ School for Spiritual Direction. This two-year program helps those with a call to holy listening learn how to assist others in thinking about their spiritual lives.

MORE THAN PROGRAMS

What will you find at Adelynrood beyond programs?

Our century-old house offers overnight accommodations for about 80 guests. Companion volunteers and our exceptional staff make visitors feel at home. The Adelynrood dining room is open to the public for delicious, fresh, and healthy meals. Guests often say that some of the best conversations anywhere happen in our dining room.

If you’re an individual looking to spend unstructured time for a day, a few days, or longer, come to Adelynrood. You can walk the paths around our 14-acre grounds, meditate in a rocking chair on one of the porches, browse our libraries, or join in our chapel worship.

Adelynrood also serves as a resource to the nearby community. We invite community groups, businesses, and other organizations to take advantage of our peaceful, hospitable setting by renting our conference spaces for meetings.
