THANKSGIVING AND EVERYDAY: SUNDAY
Lord, thank You for waking me up today. Before I step into everything that needs to be done, I want to pause to be with You. Calm my heart and clear my thoughts, Lord. Help me begin this day trusting that You are already at work.

SIMPLICITY OF LIFE: MONDAY
Holy One, our guide and strength,
If simplicity is a gift, open our hearts to receive it.
If it is a discipline, give us perseverance.
If it is an insight, give us wisdom.

SOCIAL JUSTICE: WEDNESDAY
Our Father in Heaven, bless your quarreling children with a willingness to listen as well as to speak, to understand as well as to be understood. Guide and inspire us to work toward justice for all in our country, that we may build the society which is your vision for us.

GROWTH IN SPIRITUAL LIFE: FRIDAY
It was in the morning quiet when the three grieving women visited the tomb.
It was in the morning, when birds sing their most glorious songs.
It was in the morning when the sun dances on dew drops.
It was then in the stillness the voice was heard: He is not here, he is risen.
– “Easter”, by Viola Day Mullin, SCHC
PRAYERS PERSONAL AND GENERAL: SATURDAY
As I sit in prayer in silence, I practice being still. I give thanks for the day before.
I pray for my family, for those in need, including myself.
I ask God for sustenance in the days ahead and courage when it is needed.
And I sit and am still. I love the peace around me.
– Kate Smith, SCHC
